Trading Guide
How trading works in Trade Squishy Dumplings โ and how to win more trades than you lose.
How Trading Works
Trading is the core loop: you offer dumplings from your collection and receive dumplings from another player's. Both sides confirm before the trade completes. The goal is to grow your collection value โ either by trading up to rarer dumplings or by collecting every variant.
The Value Rule
Every dumpling has a community reference value. Rarity sets the ballpark, but demand and availability move individual prices. A Win is a trade where you receive at least 10% more value than you give; a Loss is the reverse. Check any trade with the Trade Value Calculator before you accept.
The Mutation Warning
A mutated dumpling carries a glow and is worth about 3.5x its base value. This is the most common way players lose value โ trading away a mutated Heart dumpling at its normal price. Always confirm the glow in-game and check the mutation value before offering or accepting.
Scam Protection
- Check the actual item, not the name. A renamed or similar-looking dumpling is not the same item.
- Never trade first in a two-step deal โ escrow scams and "trust me" trades are the most common way people lose collections.
- Confirm the mutation glow and rarity on both sides before confirming.
- Ignore offers sent via chat or Discord DMs; keep trades inside the game's trade UI.
- If a deal sounds too good to be true, it usually is.
Trading Up
To climb the value ladder, bundle lower-value dumplings into value-matched offers for rarer targets โ see the trade-up recipes. Over time, many small fair trades grow a collection faster than one risky big trade.
